Guesthouse Namaste provides cheap but clean and comfortable hostel accommodation at a convenient location just a short walk from Kanazawa Station. The owner is keen traveler himself and offers a friendly welcome to all his guests. He also speaks English, and can offer advice about what to do or see in the neighborhood.
Guestrooms
Guesthouse Namaste has two dormitories separated by gender, and three private rooms. In the dormitories guests sleep in futons on tatami mat floors. There are also two private twin rooms with two beds each, and one family room which has two beds and a tatami section which has space for 3 futons. The family room can sleep up to 6 people. All rooms have air conditioning and heating.
Washing facilities
There are two shared toilets and one shower room which is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Hair dryers are also supplied, but bath towels are 100 yen to rent. If you want to take a bath, the owner of the guesthouse can direct you to a public bath in the neighborhood.
Dining
This guesthouse does not offer breakfast or other meals, but self-catering is possible in the shared kitchen and there are many great dining facilities in the surrounding area.
Facilities
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the building.
This guesthouse has a common use kitchen with a microwave oven, oven toaster, and refrigerator. There is also a communal living room, and a washing machine.
A limited amount of parking is available but must be booked in advance.
Guests can use lockers during their stay and there is also a luggage storage service at reception.
The reception desk is open from 8.00 to 11.30 and 15.00 to 20.00. Between 11.30 and 14.30 the guesthouse is closed while the owner has his lunch break.
