Kanazawa City Hotel (Alpha-1)

Kanazawa City Hotel is part of the Alpha-1 chain of business hotels. These hotels offer a simple no-frills service, with compact but comfortable, well-maintained rooms at very reasonable prices. This hotel is roughly 10-12 minutes from Kanazawa Station and is convenient for local shopping malls and for bus routes to all the major tourist attractions. Kanazawa City Hotel is perfect for those visiting Kanazawa on a short trip whether on business or for sightseeing.

Guest rooms include Relaxation Singles fitted with automated massage chairs, Residential Rooms, Residential Twin A and B rooms, and Residential Triples. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available.

All rooms have free Wi-Fi internet access. Rooms are equipped with a TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, nightwear, and slippers. Bathrooms are fitted with a toilet and washlet style bidet. Toothbrushes, razors, hairbrushes, solid soap, and other small items are available from the 1st floor lobby amenity corner, where guests take the items they need.

This hotel has an izakaya style Japanese restaurant called “Monzen” serving traditional local cuisine. The restaurant is modelled after a traditional “minka” style residence of the Noto Peninsula and has a menu that prominently features fresh local seafood. A mixed Western and Japanese style breakfast buffet is served here daily from 6:30 to 9:30, with final entry at 9:15. Advance tickets bought at the front desk at check-in cost 1,000 yen, and same-day tickets cost 1,100 yen. Children aged 0-3 eat free, and children aged 4-12 pay 900 yen. The buffet includes local dishes such as chicken dumpling jibuni, Kaga vegetable tempura, and kuruma-fu simmered with egg, and takeaway coffee cups are provided. Evening room service is also available.

Dinner: 17:30 – 22:00 (Last orders: 21:30)
Closed for lunch and dinner on Sundays or the final day of consecutive holidays.

Facilities

Kanazawa City Hotel has large Japanese style public baths which can be used by hotel guests for free. The public baths are located in the basement and have separate sections for ladies and gentlemen. The men’s section has a main bath, jacuzzi, and sauna, while the women’s section has a jacuzzi and ganbanyoku-style stone bath. Ladies can access their section with their room’s card keys. Opening hours are from 16:00 – 1:00 at night, and 6:00 – 9:00 in the morning. Guests should bring their room towels to use these baths.

There is a public computer section in the hotel lobby which can be used free of charge.

This hotel has a self-service coin operated laundry.

Mobile phone chargers, DVD players, irons, air purifiers, reading lamps, and extra blankets can all be borrowed from reception.

This hotel also has drinks vending machines and ice making machines.

For guests coming by car, parking is available for 113 passenger cars: 37 outdoor spaces on the hotel grounds, 46 spaces in the second parking lot, and 30 spaces in the on-site multistory parking lot. The multistory lot has size and weight limits. Parking is free for hotel guests from 15:00 to 10:00 the following morning, and outside those hours the extra charge is 100 yen per hour. Spaces are first-come, first-served; if the hotel lots are full, staff can direct guests to nearby paid parking.
