The name “Sainoniwa” actually means “colorful garden” because in this environment guests can fully enjoy the changing colors of the seasons. The abundant greenery and the sound of running water create a relaxing atmosphere and give Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel a special charm.

This hotel has a wide range of Japanese and Western-style rooms, from 32m2 Comfort Standard, Comfort Double, and Separate Standard rooms to larger Comfort Deluxe, Separate Deluxe, Triple, Premium Twin, and Corner Family rooms. Comfort rooms combine the bed and living space, while Separate rooms divide the bed and living areas. The 80m2 Corner Family room can sleep up to 8 guests. Universal Comfort Twin and Barrier-free rooms are also available for guests who need barrier-free accommodation. Beds are fitted with Simmons mattresses, and Airweave futon mattresses are used for extra guests in larger rooms.

All rooms have a mixture of Japanese and Western-style decor, and are supplied with a refrigerator, electric kettle, combined humidifier and air purifier, TV with smart-TV connection, tea and coffee, bottled water in aluminium bottles, room wear, slippers, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are fitted with a bath tub and shower, and guest rooms have a separate toilet. Amenities include bath towels, body towels, hand towels, toothbrush and toothpaste, razors, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, face wash, toner, lotion, hair dryer, comb, hair tie, cotton set, and tissues.

Breakfast

Buffet-style breakfast is included in hotel bookings and is served in the 1st floor restaurant from 7:00 to 10:00, with last orders at 9:30. The buffet has around 80 Japanese and Western dishes using seasonal local ingredients, including Kaga vegetables and Ishikawa seafood, together with salads, breads, yogurt, jams, and other healthy options. Allergy information is displayed, and guests with dietary needs should contact the hotel in advance.

This hotel has gender-separated indoor public baths using groundwater from the Mt. Hakusan water system. These baths have garden views and are a good place to relax after sightseeing. The baths are generally open from 6:00 to 9:00 and again from 15:00 until 24:00.

Other Facilities

Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel has a 24-hour front desk with English speaking staff who can help you with enquiries about the area or make taxi and restaurant bookings on your behalf.

Facilities include a training room with exercise equipment, a library stocked with books, magazines and tourist information, a comfortable lounge space, kids corner, craft gallery corridors, free self-service laundry with detergent, shared microwave ovens, water and ice dispensers, free Wi-Fi/LAN, and vending machines. Fax and photocopying services are available for a fee.

The hotel has a Machi-nori share-cycle port with electric-assist bicycles. Use is subject to availability, and a one-day pass can be purchased online or at the front desk.

Free parking is available for hotel guests, with 23 spaces listed by the hotel. EV charging spaces should be requested in advance, and guests with buses, campervans, or other large vehicles should contact the hotel before arrival.

Access

Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel is located in Nagata, west of Kanazawa Station. From JR Kanazawa Station it is about 15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car. The hotel also runs a free scheduled shuttle from the group bus parking area to the right of the Kanazawa Port Exit / West Exit. Buses depart about every 30 minutes, but traffic and seat availability can affect service. Guests can also use free hotel lockers near the station, or hand luggage to the shuttle driver before departure times.
