Tokyu Square Korinbo is one of the major shopping malls in Kanazawa. Previously this building was called “Korinbo 109”, but it was renamed and re-branded as “Tokyu Square Korinbo” in 2016. Actually the 109 group of shopping malls are owned by the Tokyu Group, so even though the name has changed, the company is the same. This store was first opened in 1985, and together with the nearby Daiwa, and Atrio department stores it helps form the commercial hub of the Korinbo district.

Tokyu Square Korinbo has 5 floors above ground and a basement level. The building is built on a slope, so confusingly it has both a Ground Floor and then a 1st Floor above that. Within the building you will find a branch of the Tokyu Hands lifestyle shop, a supermarket, clothing stores, cafes, restaurants, a book store and a cinema.
In the basement you will find a bookstore, stationary shop, and café. The Utsunomiya bookstore does have a small section of English language books where you can find some popular paperback novels.

In the Tokyu Hands store on the Ground Floor you can find a little bit of everything: health and beauty products, kitchenware, bathroom toiletries, home interior goods and appliances, a novelty gift shop, toys, games, gift wrap, cards, and mobile phone accessories.

The next 3 floors are mainly focused on affordable ladies and men’s fashion brands. Here are some highlights:

Barnyard Storm on the 1st floor is a brand of comfortable but elegant clothes for ladies in their 30s and 40s

Ofuon on the 2nd floor is a reliable brand of well-made simple and practical daily clothes for ladies in their 20s and 30s

Egoist on the 2nd floor is an edgy brand of casual clothes for free spirited ladies in their teens and 20s

The Suit Company on the 3rd floor has a wide variety of very reasonably priced ready-made suits for both ladies and gentlemen

ABC Mart on the 2nd floor sells cheap shoes and sneakers for both ladies and gentlemen
Cinémonde on the top floor (the 4th floor) is a small arts cinema screening many small independent movies from around the world as well as Japan.

Throughout the building are a variety of eateries serving steaks, pasta, crepes, pancakes and sushi. If you are looking for something familiar, there is a Starbucks café on the 1st floor.
